Health and AI notice
PAU is a calm moment in your day, not a treatment. Here is what that means, and how to use it safely.
1.If you need help now
PAU can't help in an emergency. If you're thinking about harming yourself or someone else, or you're in danger, stop using PAU and get help right away:
- Emergency services: call 911 in Canada and the US, 112 in the EU, 999 in the UK, or your local emergency number.
- Canada: call or text 9-8-8, the Suicide Crisis Helpline, any time.
- United States: call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, any time.
- United Kingdom and Ireland: call Samaritans on 116 123.
- Anywhere else: find a free, confidential helpline near you at findahelpline.com.
No one at PAU reads your check-ins as they come in, and PAU doesn't screen them for risk. It can't notice you're in danger, alert anyone or send help.
2.PAU is not medical or mental health care
PAU offers short guided meditations, breathing and relaxing sounds for general wellbeing. It is not a medical device, and nothing in it is medical, psychological or other professional advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Using PAU doesn't create a doctor–patient, therapist–client or any other care relationship with us. Our guides are characters with AI voices, not health professionals.
PAU is not a substitute for care. Don't stop, delay or change any treatment, medication or professional advice because of something you heard in PAU. If you have a question about your health, ask a qualified professional.
3.Your meditations are made by AI
Every personal meditation in PAU is written by an AI model from what you tell it (a feeling you pick, or your own words), then read aloud by an AI voice. The voices are synthetic: they aren't recordings of real people, and no person writes or checks your meditation before you hear it.
AI makes mistakes. A generated meditation can:
- misunderstand what you meant, or not fit how you feel,
- say something inaccurate, unhelpful, odd or that you find upsetting,
- sound confident about things it has no way of knowing.
Treat what PAU says as a gentle suggestion, never as advice or fact about your health, your life or your choices. You decide what's right for you. If a meditation says something harmful or wrong, stop it and tell us at team@everseedventures.com so we can improve.
4.Take care while you practise
- Never use PAU while driving, cycling, operating machinery, or doing anything that needs your full attention. Meditations and sounds can make you relaxed or sleepy.
- Breathing exercises can make some people light-headed. Breathe normally and stop if you feel dizzy, short of breath or unwell.
- Meditation can occasionally bring up difficult thoughts, memories or feelings. Rarely, people with certain conditions have felt worse with meditation. Stop whenever something doesn't feel right.
- Talk to your doctor or therapist before using PAU if you have, or have had, a mental health condition (such as trauma, psychosis, severe depression or anxiety), a breathing or heart condition, epilepsy, or are pregnant.
- Keep the volume at a comfortable level, especially with headphones or when falling asleep.
You choose to use PAU at your own discretion and are responsible for your own health and safety while you do.
5.For adults
PAU is made for adults. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live if that's higher, to use it.
